March for Gaza







A declaration was read out in front of a large number of people at the 'March for Gaza' program at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka to protest the Israeli 'genocide' in Gaza, Palestine. The declaration called for the cancellation of all agreements and severance of relations with Israel. In addition, separate demands and commitments were also highlighted at four levels. Mahmudur Rahman, editor of the daily Amar Desh, read out the declaration at the 'March for Gaza' program, which was announced by a platform called 'Palestine Solidarity Movement Bangladesh'. According to the previous announcement, the program was supposed to take place at 3 pm. However, everyone started arriving at Suhrawardy Udyan from the morning. Many people were seen participating in the program with various placards, banners, and festoons in protest of the Palestinian flag and the Israeli attack on Gaza. Many of the participants in the program were seen holding placards and festoons calling for an end to the Israeli 'genocide' in Palestine, a boycott of Israeli products, and a boycott of America and India. Leaders of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, Jatiya Nagorik Party, Hefazat-e-Islam, along with several Islamic speakers and the Khatib of the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram, were present on the program stage. Some of those who came to participate in the program said that they participated in the program to demand an end to the Israeli attack on Gaza in Palestine and to call on the Muslim world to be vocal.
